A violin recital featuring New Knoxville native Jessica Davis will be held this Sunday afternoon, August 29th at 3:30 PM at the First United Church of Christ at the corner of West & Bremen Street in New Knoxville, Ohio.
Also featured will be the Wright State Community Ensembles including the Grand Lake Full Orchestra, Grand Lake Chamber Orchestra and Grand Lake String Quintet as well as students of Ms Davis’ studio and her own instructors Mr. Dan Jones and Mr. Jeremy Zank. The program will include a wide range of music from Handel and Tchaikovsky to Sara Mclachlan.
Ms Davis, an accomplished young violinist, recently won acceptance into the prestigious Interlochen Academy for the Arts. The Wright State Community Ensembles are under the Musical Direction of Mr. Dan Jones and incorporate top young High School and University music students as well as older amateur musicians and musical educators from around the West Central Ohio region, rehearsing weekly at the Wright State University Lake Campus near Celina.
