PSI hunts ghosts locally

By ANDREA POTEET
Staff Writer
WAPAKONETA - This group of ghost seekers doesn't carry proton packs or drive a souped-up 1959 Cadillac ambulance - but when haunted area businesses find themselves wondering who they are going to call, the answer can be PSI. Paranormal State Investigators (PSI), a group of six ghost hunters based in Wapakoneta, have investigated paranormal activity at more than 680 homes, businesses and cemeteries since they formed more than a year ago. "People call us crazy," founder Shane Hunley said, "but we'd like them to try to keep an open mind."

Todays cars, Tomorrows classics
January 9, 2009 ...
by Austin Lutterbeck
ST. MARYS - Look out your window and into the road. Chances are, theres a car sitting somewhere along the curve. That car may or may not be a more modern style, but chances are, you have seen something like it before. In 10 years a present new Mustang will look as old as a Packard. This is definetly not a bad thing. More modern cars are becoming environment friendly and are now more affordable. With developments in technology we can now use average grease to power a monster hot rod. If you think a car with 24" rims, suicide doors, a body kit 1.5" off the ground, neon lighting everywhere, and a huge spoiler is cool, you are about to be amazed.

The Bungalow
January 5, 2009 ... By Ivan Knapp
ST. MARYS, Ohio - Every morning on my way to work I cross Auglaize County from north to south through St. Marys, and New Bremen to the edge of Minster on my way to Maria Stein. Coming into St. Marys from the north, I am reminded that Route 66 is a part of many of our lives. I come up High Street along the canal and across the river to Front Street where I know early risers have seen the traffic lights turned back on at six o'clock...
There as I wait for the light to turn, I look cater-corner across the street. Yep, its still there--"The Bungalow." I think about the local history project that Larry Shelby told me he and George Neargardner are working on--tracing the history of ownership and activity of each of the buildings on Spring Street--and wonder how they are coming.
