ST. MARYS - On a night the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans dominated the offensive glass, St. Marys was the team that got the final and deciding offensive putback. Erika Thornsberry pulled down a missed shot and put it back in as the clock ran out in the overtime period, giving St. Marys a 51-49 win over the Titans at McBroom Gymnasium on Thursday night. ...more

ST. MARYS - The wrath of the largest snowfall of the year was felt throughout the city Wednesday as many residents dug out driveways and sidewalks. As another snow storm fell on St. Marys, schools cancelled, children went sledding and adults tried to keep up on shoveling. Mack Peterson was shoveling his sidewalk in St. Marys Wednesday afternoon - shortly after a storm that dumped 9 inches of snow pulled out of the area. ...more

Celina man gets additional three years in prison

City targets historic land

ST. MARYS - St. Marys city councilors held the first reading of an ordinance to set aside funds for the purchase of a historical property site at their Monday night meeting. The ordinance would appropriate $12,000 to come from the city's Capital Improvements Fund toward the purchase of the designated "Girty property," in addition to the closing costs of the property, which Law Director Kraig Noble said should not exceed $50. ...more

Red light cameras now city law

LIMA - City Council authorized the city's red light camera enforcement program Monday, creating an $85 civil penalty for owners of cars caught on video running red lights at marked intersections. The city's first camera will be installed at the intersection of East North Street and Central Avenue, the city's most dangerous intersection, possibly within a month. ...more
